Ein neuer Herbstlook, ganz im Zeichen von Strick-Liebe wartet heute auf euch! Gibt es etwas Schöneres als kuscheligen Strick in der dunklen Jahreszeit? Na gut, ein paar Grad kälter dürfte es schon noch werden, aber so reichte für die Fotos vor wenigen Wochen immerhin noch nur die Strickjacke. :-)

Strick, Leo und Hiker Boots

Ich werde nicht müde zu betonen, wie gerne ich Strickteile mit derberen oder ganz feinen Stoffen kombiniere. Ob Seide, Vinyl oder Leder – der Kontrast ist einfach immer schön! Deshalb trage ich meinen hellgrauen Lieblings-Cardigan hier auch wieder mit Kunstlederhorts, ultraglänzender Strumpfhose und auffälligem Schmuck. Das kann Strick alles sehr gut vertragen. Auch ein bisschen Leomuster darf wieder mitmischen – natürlich farblich angepasst in Grau-Schwarz.

Neu dabei sind die Unisa Boots aus Veloursleder. Ich liebe die Kombi aus hohem Keilabsatz und derber Bergsteiger-Schuh-Schnürung. So passen sie super zum aktuellen Hiker Boots Trend. Zudem sind sie dank der hervorragenden Verarbeitung einfach super bequem. Die Schuhe waren wieder mal ein echtes Schnäppchen von TK Maxx. Um mehr als die Hälfte reduziert konnte ich da schlecht Nein sagen…

Endlich wieder fit nach Grippeimpfung…

Vielleicht habt ihr es mitbekommen, aber mich hat es letzte Woche komplett aus dem (Arbeits-)Alltag gerissen. Am Montag hatte ich noch frei und habe mir – auf Empfehlung meines Hämatologen – die Grippeschutzimpfung bei meinem Hausarzt geben lassen. Zum ersten Mal. Soweit, so gut. Am Abend wurde ich schon schlagartig müde und die Einstichstelle wurde dick, warm und schmerzte. Alles nix Besonderes und durchaus normal nach der Impfung. Auch am Dienstag im Büro ging es noch ganz gut; ich fühlte mich nur recht abgeschlagen. In der Nacht wurde es aber dann schlagartig schlimmer, sodass ich Mittwoch und Donnerstag tatsächlich nur auf dem Bett und dem Sofa vegetieren konnte: Fieber, furchtbare Kopfschmerzen, Schnupfen und – am Allerschlimmsten – eine penetrante Übelkeit machten sich breit. Ich konnte nicht einmal Wasser bei mir behalten, was das Ganze natürlich nur Schlimmer gemacht hat, denn Trinken ist ja das A und O.

Seit Freitag ging es dann endlich langsam wieder bergauf und heute bin ich fast wieder völlig hergestellt. Mein Hausarzt meinte, wir haben wohl in einen ungünstigen Zeitpunkt reingeimpft. Vermutlich hatte ich bereits irgendwelche Viren im Körper, die dadurch so richtig rausgekommen sind. Leider weiß man dies ja nicht immer, denn montags ging es mir noch sehr gut. Naja, ich hoffe, dass mich die Impfung ab sofort dann vor Schlimmerem bewahrt. ;-)

A new autumn look, all under the sign of knit love is waiting for you today! Is there anything nicer than cuddly knitwear in the dark season? Well, it might get a few degrees colder, but just the cardigan was enough jacket for the photos a few weeks ago. :-)

I never tire of emphasizing how much I love to combine knitwear with coarser or very fine fabrics. Whether silk, vinyl or leather – the contrast is always beautiful! That’s why I wear my light grey favourite cardigan here again with artificial leather shorts, ultra shiny tights and eye-catching jewelry. Knit can take all this very well. Also a little bit of leo pattern is allowed to mix in – of course color matched in grey-black.

New are the Unisa suede boots. I love the combination of high wedge heel and sturdy mountaineer shoe lacing. And thanks to the excellent workmanship, they are simply super comfortable. The shoes were once again a real bargain from TK Maxx. Reduced by more than half I could say badly no…

Finally fit again after flu vaccination…

Maybe you noticed it, but last week it completely tore me out of my (working) everyday life. On Monday I had my last day off and – on the recommendation of my hematologist – had the flu vaccination given to me by my family doctor. For the first time. So far, so good. In the evening I got suddenly tired and the injection site became thick, warm and painful. Everything nothing special and quite normal after the vaccination. Also on Tuesday in the office it went quite well; I felt only quite rejected. But in the night it got worse all of a sudden, so that I could only vegetate on the bed and the sofa on Wednesday and Thursday: Fever, terrible headaches, a cold and – worst of all – a penetrating nausea spread. I couldn’t even keep water with me, which of course only made the whole thing worse, because drinking is the be-all and end-all.

Since Friday I finally went slowly up again and today I am almost completely restored. My family doctor said that we probably vaccinated at an unfavourable time. Probably I already had some viruses in my body, which really came out due to it. Unfortunately one does not know this always, because on Mondays it was still very good for me. Well, I hope that the vaccination will protect me from worse from now on. ;-)
